NASA Education's Industrial and Manufacturing Incentive

National Association of Systems Administrators Education Corporation (NASA Education) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by John Blanchard, the President and CEO of two IT-related companies, in Crystal Lake, Illinois, which is located in McHenry County, one of the collar counties of Chicago. NASA Education's main program, Project Fresh Start, focuses on workforce and community reintegration for U.S. veterans who are newly released, displaced, disabled, homeless or otherwise in transition or distressed.

Employers spend many hours in training to fulfill industrial and manufacturing positions. Wasted funds spent on training contribute to depleting positions and push companies needs to move overseas. NASA Education's industrial and manufacturing initiative was created to assist in keeping jobs here in the states and specifically McHenry County. NASA Education can provide local companies within McHenry County low skilled, structured and dependable, English speaking employees that are educated in OSHA safety regulations; manufacturing awareness and discipline; and a very specific set of job skills that are pertinent to the employer and its trade. NASA Education guarantees that our participants will be on-time by providing transportation to and from the job site, and there is no worry of passing drug screenings, as we require daily drug tests. Our program participants who once provided freedom and sanctuary to the world; local manufacturers should be able to provide them with "Made in America "products that McHenry County can be proud of. NASA Education, though our specified training program, provides the means to have cost effective goods delivered to the market in a timely fashion, while ensuring a level of quality that the federal government may have ensured and safe guarded those same freedoms that we enjoy by these individuals. American, made by Americans who have given the world the American freedoms we enjoy.

The key to our success is that in three to four weeks we can impart specific skill sets to participants to prepare them for full-time positions with competitive wages in various fields.
