NASA Education Trucking Program

NASA Education’s trucking program, works with our own Project Fresh Start participants who either currently have a Class A driver's license or those who have obtained their Class A commercial driver's license by going through our own CDL school. Participants can now pursue their life long dream as an over the road driver, making a competitive wage and seeing the country.

Our great success and safety rating are qualities of which we are very proud. NASA Education’s trucking services offer on time and safe deliveries by the most loyal and committed individuals that exist; our military heroes. They are professional drivers who started their diligent training in the military and have renewed those principles and values through their training classes and their new found life. Prior to getting out on the road, most participants were MIA (Missing in America), homeless and lost to a system that had failed them. Thanks to NASA Education, they have found their way back to being gainfully employed, productive members of society. All while making a competitive wage and traveling across this great country.

Vet-Teks' trucking, a veteran-owned company started by NASA Education Corporation. After taking its maiden voyage in April, 2008 Vet-Teks is now one of NASA Educations main funding sources. Vet-Teks was created so that upon completion of NASA Education’s CDL course participants could achieve 100% job placement. Also, individuals with little or no driving experience could drive with a shadow senior driver to gain valuable over the road experience, while earning money. Since its maiden voyage, NASA Education now leases 5 trucks to Vet-Teks and has successfully sent 21 participants down the road. Some of the original drivers have become senior drivers for NASA Education and others have been able to move on to owning their own tractors and work independently for themselves. Driver are able to choose the kind of schedule they would like to work. Some are over-the-road for 4 days with 3 days of down-time, while others prefer a 21 days out and 7 days of down-time. These driven individuals have gone from homelessness to $40K-$50K per year in a very short amount of time.
